Much like It takes a village to raise a kid, it takes a community’s support for a restaurant to exist. Our existence directly depends on your support. So many people have sacrificed so much of their blood sweat and tears (AKA bank account numbers LOL!) to help us get to this *almost* 1 year point! It has been a long and hard journey, but with your help, it is only the beginning. Unlike large restaurant groups and restaurant chains and franchises, we are a mom and pop operation; We don’t have endless funds. We need people to support us in order to exist, and in part that requires people to check us out and come over the river to West Sacramento. Perks: we are CLOSE, Parking is easier, the food is great, our brunch is bomb, we source humane, artisan, local, seasonal foods, and with care. This and our commitment to our team with employer sponsored health insurance and competitive wages costs more money, but we believe in what we do. Hopefully the community believes in what we believe in. If you vote for us, it demonstrates that you care about small businesses, about mindfully curated menus that care about the environment, local farmers, and creatures of the world. By voting for us, you help us get the word out so others may come out and try to support us as well. Perhaps this will help us build some deeper roots in the community so we can continue into the future, because let’s face it: no matter how hard you try, how well you execute, it takes a village, a community, two sister cities, to keep you alive.
